Alicia R. Knapp

Alicia Knapp serves as president and CEO of BHE Renewables, a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Energy. BHE Renewables owns solar, wind, geothermal, natural gas and hydro projects that produce energy for both the wholesale market and for customers under long-term power purchase agreements.

Prior to this role, Knapp served as the vice president of renewable generation for MidAmerican Energy Company. She has been with the Berkshire Hathaway Energy family of businesses since 2001 and has held roles in risk management, energy trading, renewable energy project development and gas delivery.

Knapp currently serves on the board of directors for The Kraft Heinz Company. She earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and master’s degree in business administration from the University of Iowa.
