Dr. Arlanda Williams
Dr. Arlanda Williams holds senior administrative responsibility for the areas of workforce development, which provides job training services and continuing education. Also under her leadership are the Delgado Maritime and Industrial Training Facility, the Advance Manufacturing River City Site, the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program, several major federal grants, and the Small Business Center.
Dr. Williams served for thirteen years on the Terrebonne Parish Council, elected the first female to serve as chair of the council.
Williams serves on various boards and commissions throughout the state of Louisiana: Southern University Board of Supervisors, Terrebonne Parish Levee and Conservation District, South Central Planning and Development, New Orleans Workforce Development Board, Jefferson Parish Workforce Development Board, Terrebonne General Hospital System Board of Commissioners, Ochsner Medical West Bank Advisory Board, West Bank Industrial Association, New Orleans Regional Black Chamber of Commerce Executive Board and many others.
Williams is a graduate of Southern University at New Orleans, having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice, and is also 2014 graduate of Southern University at Baton Rouge with an Executive Master of Public Administration degree and a 2022 doctoral graduate of the Nelson Mandela School of Public Policy at Southern University. She is a graduate of Leadership Terrebonne 2007 and a recent graduate of the LCTCS Certified Workforce Developer Program.
