Why clean power?
A once-in-a-generation opportunity.
Clean energy provides jobs for more than 460,000 Americans, and we’re on track to double that to 1 million by 2030.
Nearly 40,000 veterans work in wind and solar power, a higher rate than the national average, and new efforts are underway to ensure these good jobs are accessible to women, people of color and individuals living in rural communities.
Tax revenues from clean power have grown 70% over the last 5 years. Wind and solar projects pay an estimated $1.5 billion per year in state and local taxes to support local infrastructure, schools and community services.
Clean power delivers nearly $3 billion to rural communities each year. The number of U.S. farms producing clean energy has doubled in the past 5 years.
